The Rotary Club of Gwinnett County will host the 3rd Annual Derby Down South Fundraiser to support local charities in Gwinnett County. The Derby Down South fundraiser will bring together Rotarians in the spirit of fellowship while supporting a worthy cause! Enjoy mint juleps, contests, and a chance to win great prizes! You will also get to see the Derby race on the big screen at Formetco! This year, the Rotary Club of Gwinnett County is working to impact four of the greatest needs in Gwinnett County…Food Insecurity, Homelessness, Poverty, and Human Trafficking. We have selected the following three charities who are making a big impact in Gwinnett:
Gwinnett Hunger Total Coverage Project. Expanding an innovative, online FoodFinder network. Equipping food insecure families with information about free food providers in Gwinnett County. Enabling new partnerships with GCPS, food assistance providers, and community stakeholders to better guide families in need to trusted programs and resources.
Good Samaritan Health Center of Gwinnett
Health Access for the Homeless. Establishing a new health assessment clinic to provide screening and healthcare services at HomeFirst Gwinnett’s Homeless Assessment Center.
Crisis Support & Community Capacity Building Project. Expanding training and awareness in Gwinnett about human sex trafficking. Developing a survivor-informed map of resources, service providers, and vested stakeholders working to end sex trafficking and provide healing services to victims in Gwinnett.
As The Rotary Club of Gwinnett County is also part of Rotary International, 10% of our net fundraising efforts this year will go towards Rotary International’s effort to eradicate Polio.
